Always available Beam button
During recent user testing we found:
- Customers were Beaming by navigating to the Wallet tab and selecting a card to commence Beaming. - wasting time at the checkout.
- Customers couldn’t Beam because the app was not detecting they were in store, resulting in the app not displaying the ‘Store screen’, which had the Beam button on it. - causing frustration and time wasting.
- The ‘Store screen’ would load and then disappear - stopping customers from Beaming.
Now, when you open the Beam app you’ll notice an updated navigation bar at the bottom of the screen (iOS). In the centre of the navigation is the new Beam button. Tap this button to pay with Beam. Regardless of the type of transaction you are making - Fueling at ENOC, paying a bill in a restaurant, or paying at a cashier in cafes and supermarkets - start your transaction experience by tapping the new Beam button.
The ‘Store screen’ has evolved
The previous ‘Store screen’ has been updated to provide more relevant information you need when in a store. Over the coming months we’ll be enhancing this screen to add more information and value to Beamers.
